This year’s theme, “Jalam,” centres on the classical element of Water, inviting participants to reflect on its symbolic depth as a source of life, renewal, and unity. As we explore water’s philosophical essence, we also address a critical issue—the global water crisis. Writers, poets, and thinkers from all walks of life are invited to use their craft to advocate for sustainable solutions and to inspire a deeper reverence for this invaluable resource.

The theme ‘Jalam’ is both powerful and timely. Water truly is the essence of renewal, life, and unity yet also one of the greatest challenges facing our world today. I deeply admire how the Panorama International Literature Festival is using literature and art to inspire awareness and action around such an important issue.
