Sarwat Z. Lubna

International Ambassador for Bangladesh Culture

Sarwat Zabeen Lubna is a Bangladeshi-born poet, writer, rhymester, storyteller, thinker, architect, as well as a nature lover and humble peddler of humanity. Her writings explore themes of love, womanhood, and the human spirit, drawing from Bengali traditions and world literature. Born into a family of educators, she began writing as a child at Shishu Academy, later creating wall newspapers and musical plays. Over the years, she contributed to various national dailies ( like Ittefaq, Begum, Prothom Alo etc ), magazines ( like Shobdoghor, Notun Ek Matra, Kishor Bangla, Kanamachi, Shailepik etc) and various international publications worldwide. An advisor to the World Writers Association, she also edited the magazines of Shoilpik and BUET ’87. She has received various awards, include[ng the International Children’s Award from Shishu Academy. Her renowned books include Beloari Swapnakahon (2023), Borofkuchi Bairi Prahor (2023), Khyangrakathir Chhora (2024), and Prithibita Dilam Tomay (2025).
