National Literary Festival Competition – 1st Edition
"In the Light of the Word"

At last, Tirana will have its own annual poetry festival!
The National Literary Festival “In the Light of the Word” aims to highlight the power of artistic expression through poetry, in the heart of the capital, as part of the symbolic year in which Tirana holds the title:

📣 Call for Participation

We invite all poets from across Albania and all Albanian-speaking regions to take part in the first edition of this national festival, which will be held in October 2025.

📜 Participation Guidelines:

Each contestant may submit one poem, no longer than 4 stanzas or 20 lines.

Minimum age: 18+ years old.

The poem must not have been previously published or submitted to other competitions.

Authors who have not published a book must also submit 10 additional poems, as proof of their dedication to writing.

Participants who are absent on the day of the festival will be automatically disqualified.
If any absent participant had been selected as a winner, their prize will go to the poem with the next highest score.

1. 🥇 "Light of the Albanian Word" Award – 50,000 ALL


2. 🥈 Second Prize – 20,000 ALL


3. 🥉 Third Prize – 10,000 ALL


4. 🌟 Encouragement Prize – 10,000 ALL


5. 🎶 "Agim Doçi" Award for Best Song Lyrics – 10,000 ALL


🎤🎶 The winner of the Best Song Lyrics award will also have the opportunity to collaborate with some of the most renowned music studios in Tirana.

ℹ️ Additional Information:
Only 30 contestants will be selected for the final stage.
The jury will consist of well-known figures from Albanian literature and literary criticism.
The names of the jury members will be announced on the official date of the public announcement.

The event will be held in October 2025
The location, date, and time will be communicated in a follow-up announcement.

⚠️ Important Legal Notice:
The "In the Light of the Word" Festival is legally protected.
Copying or organizing a similar event without the organizers' approval is strictly prohibited.
Any violation will result in legal action, in accordance with decisions from the relevant courts.
